A bunch of old and new photos from here and there for this weeks photo dump.
Part 2 continues off with us still in Toowoomba.
At the start of the trip we warmed up with a little skate at the new Ormeau park where we bumped into Luke Pease. With a little bit of coaxing from the boys, he was keen to come along. He had to head home first and grab some camping gear but he eventually met up with us in Toowoomba.
So after the water tower mishap, we parted ways with Pedro and co. who made thier way back to Brisbane. We decided to head up and out towards the coast and try and find somewhere to camp along the way. We found a sweet little camp spot in Nanango and that was us for the evening. A few drinks were consumed and we all retired to our very very cold tents to rest our weary heads.
When morning came, we were greeted by some friendly locals on thier morning stroll. They told us that it got to about 4 degrees during the night, which explained the mild frostbite.
We started making the trek towards Hervey Bay keeping our eyes peeled for any potential spots along the way. Unfortunately, half way there, Luke had some car issues and had to head back towards Brisbane to get his car fixed which sucked! After we lost Luke, Beacho saw this little thing along the highway and wanted to check it out.
We pulled over and Beacho jumped out and started sizing this thing up. After about 5 minutes, he had it sussed and landed a wallie up and along, and ollied back into the bank!
We finally made it to Hervey Bay with a short stop in Maryborough. There was a bit of a lack of spots around these areas, well ones that we knew/could find anyways, but it is such a amazing, picturesque, laid back beachy town, I don’t think any of us were too concerned. We found a little fish and chip joint by the beach, had some food and laxed out.
After a bit, there was a bit of talk between Jayden, Beacho and Jarrod abouot getting a tattoo. Jayden and Beacho were discussing getting a “Airhorn” tattoo to which Jarrod retorted “Youse won’t do it!” , Next thing we know, Jayden and Beacho are sitting inside the tattoo shop, filling out forms………. AIRHORN
After the tatts were finally finished, we went off for a mish to find a camp spot for the evening. We managed to find a pinnacle spot, right by the beach. It was a real treat being under the stars and listening to the ocean all night, and waking to one of the best views ever in the morning.
The next day, we started the long drive back towards Brisbane. We ended up skating a few spots in Gympie and hanging around the sunshine coast for the day hitting up some spots out there.
We went and hit up this well skated out rail in the sunny coast.
And that’s a wrap! Thanks to everyone who helped us out and showed us spots along the way. We all had a blast and can’t wait till the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recently over the Easter break a few of the Posse boys jumped in a van and ventured on a little road trip. The general plan was to head inland to Toowoomba then head out up and towards the coast.
With a van packed full of camping equipment, Skateboards, and good vibes, the boys were getting excited for what lay ahead!
We got into Toowoomba pretty late on Thursday night, only to find the biggest event on the Toowoomba yearly calender in full swing. There was some mini festival going on complete with carnival rides, music and a whole field full of tents and campers. We had a little drive around to scope out some skate spots and decided to find somewhere to post up for the night.
We managed to find a sweet little spot on top on a hill over looking the city lights of Toowoomba and set up camp.A few drinks were had and we all settled in for the first night.
The next day we explored and hit a few spots around Toowoomba, Pedro was unable to stay on the whole trip but he managed to make a cameo apperace in Toowoomba. We met up with Pedro in the morning with Ben James and his homie Dennis in tow who were up from Sydney. We managed to hit a few fun spots, a water channel, some outledges, and a kicker over some stairs were all hit.
The last spot of the day was the infamous water towers gap. We werne’t exatcly sure of the location so we headed down to the park where we got some directions from some friendly locals.
We rocked out there and the boys jumped up and starting jumping over the gap. The session ended rather abruptly after witnessing one of the most gnarliest slams I have ever witnessed with my own 2 eyes…….
All I will say though, is that Ben James is as tough as nails. Seriously.
To be continued next week…….
